Goodreads Summary

In this sequel to the bestselling fantasy thriller, Angelfall, the survivors of the angel apocalypse begin to scrape back together what's left of the modern world.

When a group of people capture Penryn's sister Paige, thinking she's a monster, the situation ends in a massacre. Paige disappears. Humans are terrified. Mom is heartbroken.

Penryn drives through the streets of San Francisco looking for Paige. Why are the streets so empty? Where is everybody? Her search leads her into the heart of the angels' secret plans where she catches a glimpse of their motivations, and learns the horrifying extent to which the angels are willing to go.

Meanwhile, Raffe hunts for his wings. Without them, he can't rejoin the angels, can't take his rightful place as one of their leaders. When faced with recapturing his wings or helping Penryn survive, which will he choose?

My Review

There are no words for this book. The funny thing is that I went in expecting nothing but perfection. Ee floored me with Angelfall and I just couldn't conceive of a world where the book following such excellence was lacking in any way. I needed World After to be as good, if not better than Angelfall. Spoiler Alert: It was.

The curse of the second is pretty much something I implicate when going into sequels, simply said, they tend to be less enthralling than their predecessors. But the curse? It didn't exist for this book. Ee is an author after my own heart, this is why her books are my kryptonite, I feel like she writes for me. So thank-you for this, Ee, it was superb.

World After follows the events of Angelfall and Penryn is slowly recovering from the scorpion sting that left her paralysed. She's with her family, Paige is finally returned, but the experimentations done on her have altered Penryn's baby sister in ways that go much deeper than the physical. Her pain was palpable, and finding the sister she lost in the "Low Demon" now in her stead was a struggle for Penryn. Her mother, craziness aside, latches onto her daughter and encourages Penryn to look in Paige's eyes because those haven't changed; she is the same sister and daughter they know and lost. Surprisingly, Penryn has difficulty with this, and if things aren't hard enough, they still don't know what to feed Paige. It isn't until one incident at their base refugee camp that the gory answer is arrived at.

Paige needs meat. Raw meat, most readily available in human beings. There is an uproar, and the rest of the survivors try to capture her and she flees the camp, leaving Penryn and her mother to find Paige yet again. Clara, an unexpected survivor who Penryn saves from being sucked dry by the scorpions/"locusts" comes along for the ride, and together they embark on the quest to save Paige from the unpredictable angels, herself, and from hurting anyone else.

Yeah, not so much.

I was taken rapture, by the incredible storytelling and the characters brimming with anguish and determination to survive. I think more than anything, this series is a chronicle of survival and persistence even at the worst of times.

Penryn grew, into the kind of Heroine one cannot forget about simply by closing the book. She stays with you, making you question her actions as well as what you might do in her place. If your world was turned upside down, the man you loved apart from you, and your family ravaged...what would you do? I'd hope I would act as Penryn did and kick some serious ass! Can I get a "what-what" for her skills with Pookie Bear!?

I was very pleased, and excited that more of Raffe's past was revealed through his sword and also that some insight as to what Paige went through was provided. I think I would have hated it if her whole experience with the angels was glossed over, and Ee gave just enough detail about her abduction that satisfied but did not completely satiate my curiosity. As always, I am hungry for more and the next book is something I absolutely must have.

World After was full of action and entertained me to the very end. Much is revealed about the Angels as well as their purpose on Earth. Uriah's motives are despicable, but then again was any less expected? Things are more complicated than they appear and I am glad there will be 5 books to unravel the mystery of this new world and its many conspiracies.

Did I mention, I am hella pleased to have more Raffe and Penryn coming my way? I NEED this two to happen, damnation aside. Their chemistry is crackling and my tummy warmed at their reunion. I'm shipping this so hard, it hurts. Raffe did not disappoint me and the fact that he recognized Penryn right away made the romantic in me swoon for days! I'm in love. World After is the kind of book that satisfies and I am so happy.

This book was everything I needed it to be, the perfect sequel with an ending that makes me ever loyal to Ee and this series. So beautifully written...All I want is the next book!

Goodreads Summary

Shocking secrets.
Evie has fully come into her powers as the Tarot Empress, and Jack was there to see it all. She now knows that the teens who’ve been reincarnated as the Tarot are in the throes of an epic battle. It’s kill or be killed, and the future of mankind hangs in the balance.

Unexpected allies.
With threats lurking around every corner, Evie is forced to trust her newfound alliance. Together they must fight not only other Arcana, but also Bagmen zombies, post-apocalyptic storms, and cannibals.

Gut-wrenching treachery.
When Evie meets Death, things get even more complicated. Though falling for Jack, she’s drawn to the dangerous Endless Knight as well. Somehow the Empress and Death share a history, one that Evie can’t remember—but Death can’t forget…

In this seductive follow-up to Poison Princess, #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole takes us deeper into the dark world of the Arcana Chronicles.

My Review

Death.

Never before has Death looked so good. I give props to Kresley Cole; she wrote this character in such a way that completely changed my mind about the Reaper.

From what I recall of Poison Princess he didn't feature that much in the story, save a few threatening inner monologues between himself and Evie, and the odd flashback here and there. Going into Endless Knight, Death was not my preoccupation, Jack was. The Cajun stole my heart during the first book, and while I still hold a tender place for him, Death shares more of my affections. I'll break the book down into sections and better explain what I loved:

Setting: This was perfect! Throughout the book, the group journeys through the wasteland in search of Evie's grandmother, also avoiding the other Arcana and Bagmen following closely on their tail. Firstly, Endless Knight picks up from where the previous book left off with Evie just having done away with the Alchemist and Jack standing there shocked beyond belief. There is desolation everywhere and from the imagery of blood splattered on the woodwork, dripping from Evie's talons, you get a sense that this world is far from ordinary. Other books I have read in the genre cannot compare to Cole's gorgeous and thrilling world of the A.F. I loved everything.

This is a world that I immersed myself in, picking up the book and not stopping until it was finished. I couldn't get enough of their terrifying circumstances and the world post Apocalypse is so very perfectly written and conveyed.

Plot: I couldn't believe how engaging this story was; I never saw anything coming, save a guess on rare occasions, and even then there was more to the revelations than I could have assumed. Impressed is probably the only way to describe how I feel about Endless Knight. It thoroughly impressed me, and this is a sequel done well. I never felt like putting it down, the writing flowed and a consistent peppering of adventure ensured that I never grew bored or tired.

Cole does dance a fine line between YA and Adult with some of the more mature scenes involving Evie and Death, even the cave scene with Jack seemed more risque than the average young adult book. For this, I have to suggest the book for older readers in the 17+ or 18 and above age range. The scenes are steamy and my contention is that Evie doesn't seem like a 16 year old in all of them. I am not complaining, yet simply noting that if a book is written for a particular age group, it should stick to content appropriate for that audience. Mainly, it would have been more consistent with Evie's character had she acted her age.

Then again, I suppose it isn't every day that the world ends and maybe those scenes are proof that she needed to grow up quickly? It depends. I loved this book either way, but that was me giving younger readers a heads-up.

Characters: Not going to lie, Jack got on my nerves a little at the beginning, he blamed Evie for keeping her powers a secret and had little hissy fits earlier on. Needless to say this was annoying, especially in light of what is later revealed about him and Evie's mom; his emphasis on truth is hypocritical in retrospect.

He would distance himself from the group and be all broody, but later when things worked themselves out and he accepted the truth of the Arcana I loved me some Cajun! I was all vouching for him to get Evie away from Death, sure he was trouble, until I met him.

Officially, I've jumped ships. A little. My feet are kind of half in one boat and halfway on the deck of another.

Death was trouble, make no mistake, but I can't for one second figure out a better reason to be bad than for him. He's a lesson in proper character development, and as I got to know Death better, I respected his character more. He isn't good, what he does at the end keeps him firmly from being that, but I have trouble detesting his character. In a weird way, this is pleasing. I like characters with shades of grey and because of their shared past he seems perfect for Evie; I want them to be endgame.

And Evie, she was the leader I needed her to be. Initiating the treaty with the other Arcana and also defying death, she was fierce and is coming gradually into her own. It is no secret that I've liked her from day one, she is relatable and someone I do not mind rooting for. I'm glad Cole kept her as the girl I fell in love with in the beginning. You get a good idea of what there is to lose, also how things hang in the balance, and as more characters like Lark and Ogen are introduced, other dynamic Arcana included, one thing is for certain: it is anybody's game to win.

The ending left me thrilled and equal parts worried. What will happen to Evie...and Jack? I wanted to slap Death and cheer simultaneously because he took control of his life and went about getting the girl he wanted, but I disagree with his method. The way I see it, he's going after what he wants, but her indecision aside, I wish he'd waited for Evie to resolve her feelings; it would have made him the better man.

*Sigh*

And then I remember, he's Death, and will probably never be the "better man" in that sense. I just hope his ultimatum doesn't ruin things for him and Evie's relationship. Cole did it again; I need her next book AASAP: Already As Soon As Possible!

Review: Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

Goodreads Summary

Set over the course of one school year in 1986, ELEANOR AND PARK is the story of two star-crossed misfits – smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try. When Eleanor meets Park, you’ll remember your own first love – and just how hard it pulled you under.

My Thoughts

Eleanor & Park is such a profound book. I went in thinking that this would be one of those over-hyped reads that everyone loves for no particular reason. I am so happy to say that this book is definitely not that. I'm so in love with Eleanor, with Park and this story...Rainbow Rowell pretty much catapulted herself to the very top of my "love" list with this book. She's amazing.

Plot: I like that the story progresses from them disliking each other to a lovely kind of love which first grew from friendship. You really get the sense that these two, Eleanor and Park, are from entirely different households. They shouldn't even be bumping shoulders, but they do because she's got nowhere else to sit on the bus, and Park being the grudging gentleman offers his much coveted empty spot. She sits, they don't talk, pretty much the end of story. Except...there's just something about Eleanor, and that Park...

Seeing their friendship develop was the best thing. They bond over music (rock and roll of course) and comic books. This is where Park warms my heart, he gives her things like his music player, a device her lousy step-dad, (responsible for kicking her out of the house for a year), and mousy mom, (who did not retrieve her daughter for a year), could never provide. He lets her pretend, that she doesn't have to go home to sharing everything at least three ways. He's her little piece of escape, and I was just as lost (in him) as Eleanor.

This book captures them pretty much at that weird phase in high-school, where you're uncomfortable in everything and all the world seemingly has a magnifying glass trained to watch you fail. This sense of awkwardness helped the story. You could tell that Eleanor was uncomfortable with her body, that everyone else wanted her to feel uncomfortable, but that Park just couldn't get enough of who she was. He likes her, even though the other kids call her Big Red, (assholes), and she's not from the best home. He likes her, and I loved him.

Setting: The setting was a throwback to the 80's, Bon Jovi you forever have my heart. All the big hair, Walkman's and leg warmers...really it was rad. There's a fair amount of cussing in this so be warned going in, the language is coarse at times. Eleanor & Park takes place in a town of disparity. You have some families like Park's who are pretty well off, they aren't rich, but compared to Eleanor's brood, there isn't much to complain about. She's living in tight quarters and hand-me-downs are a way of life, necessities.

Most books have this huge border between the rich and poor, like poor people must be segregated, but Eleanor & Park was more realistic. Sure the divide exists, but it is not hardly as huge. He can make it to her house by foot, no need for hitch-hikes or bus tickets, and the two exist somewhere inbetween.

Aw. Call me sentimental!

The placing of the story was both chosen and written well, if it were any different I don't think I would have lost myself as entirely in the novel.

Characters: This is the big one. Characters like these feel like precious marbles rolling about. You want to pick them up, dust them down and describe them all, but that isn't very efficient. Eleanor & Park is made up of an ensemble of very real almost-people. Almost because they are fictional, keepin' it real y'all, but they're endowed with enough problems and failings of their own that you almost forget they're fictional. There's a list of characters with issues: Eleanor has home problems, she's being bullied by some pervert writing nasty things in her notebook, and her stepfather is the crown regent of all douches. Park has a little bit of identity issues going on, he's half Korean and doesn't fully know what that means. His parents love each other, but he is feeling a little out of place with himself. There's also the matter of women still being primarily dependent on men; Rowell brings to mind the struggle many mothers and wives faced, trying to strike a balance between being a home-maker and independent.

This is why I say that everyone has something going on. Even the mean girl has problems, hell hairspray is not the answer to everything!

I speak the truth.

Eleanor was my favourite. She is sarcastic, opinionated and awkward. She is the kind of heroine I should have grown up reading; curvy and real, Eleanor truly does feel like a person. I'm kind of sick of YA/NA novels having model thin girls alone ending up with the great guys, like being big immediately disqualifies you from happiness or something. The cute guys are going to want even cuter girls, YA/NA says, and I am happy to report, Rowell pretty much slapped that idea upside the head.

For many people life is struggle. They don't live picturesque realities marred solely by one event! Life is like being tossed down a hill (you know the more dangerous version of the kind kids roll themselves down on). If by the end of it you're somehow unscathed, everyone knows you were wearing shin pads. Eleanor was rolled down that hill. She didn't make it out without bruises, but she's inspirational to me; I know she is going to inspire somebody else as well.

Overall: This book is not perfect. It ends pretty sadly and I did consider briefly pulling out a blue light in case Rowell had written the actual conclusion in invisible pen. Alas, this was not so and it really does end like that. It was realistic, true to what usually comes of life and young love. It doesn't mean that I liked it. I would have preferred a better resolution to things, but there is no use crying over spilt gin. At least I think that is how the saying goes? I see the glimmer of hope there on the final page, the idea of Eleanor and Park is still there, but truthfully I would have liked more. These two belong together.

I'm sure somebody could find faults with this book, that is why it isn't perfect, but I certainly couldn't fault Rowell or Eleanor & Park for anything. I liked the story, loved the characters and fell for the romance. It got me hard and my permanent copy is on its way in the mail now. This is why lending books from the library is pretty much pointless; when the novels are as good as Eleanor & Park, I end up buying them anyway.

5/5 genies: 5 million bajillion genies, again and again, this book is incredible! By far the best read of 2013 :)

Goodreads Summary

No one would suspect shy Lily Calloway’s biggest secret. While everyone is dancing at college bars, Lily stays in the bathroom. To get laid. Her compulsion leads her to one-night stands, steamy hookups and events she shamefully regrets. The only person who knows her secret happens to have one of his own.

Loren Hale’s best friend is his bottle of bourbon. Lily comes at a close second. For three years, they’ve pretended to be in a real relationship, hiding their addictions from their families. They’ve mastered the art of concealing flasks and random guys that filter in and out of their apartment.

But when they go on a family boat trip, surrounded by open seas and limited male bodies in sight, Lily’s confronted with a big fear. Only one guy onboard can fill her addiction, and she’s sworn off going there with Loren Hale ever again.

Now the only person who can truly help her can barely help himself.

**This is a New Adult book recommended for readers 18 and up**

The Review

I struggled with this book. The themes are hard to deal with, and the conflicts Lily and Loren are engaged in made me ache for them. They went through so much! I think what challenged me most with this read was that it really brought to question the topic of addiction and how quickly it is a dismissed/tabooed subject in society. We don't want to deal with people with problems like Lo or Lily because they're difficult, messy situations we would all rather stay out of. You think "addiction" and immediately some idea of what it means to suffer from an uncontrollable compulsion comes to mind, whether it be hoarding, drinking or some other kind of addiction. We think we know, but really no one knows where the shoe pinches except those wearing the Prada.

True that!

Addicted to You is an example of why all books in the New Adult genre are not just about sex. Sure, Lily is a sex addict and to be honest her problem was frightening. The way her compulsion led her to seek out sexual partners constantly, making due when none was available, ran my blood cold. She's so controlled by this need to fulfil herself sexually that it truly does interfere with any chance of her having a normal life. At one point, her life even stands in jeopardy. The seriousness of the issue was never undermined and I really do give props to the Ritchie sisters for bringing the gravity of her circumstance so beautifully across. It was a hard subject handled well.

To you, ladies.

On to the Serious.

I'm not going to lie, there is a level of graphic content to the novel, topics such as self love and pornography are repeatedly engaged and the sexual relationship with Loren and Lily is detailed, adding context but still considerably explicit. Sexual addiction has many facets and I felt that they were adequately addressed here. When things got graphic I had to sit back, breathe, before getting back to the read. It wasn't an easy journey with this book; it asks commitment from the reader, that they engage and feel the torment Lily does when she's through sleeping with a stranger, the shame of knowing she couldn't control her body's ever present need and will probably fall prey to the same urges in future. Things like that really punched me in the gut, and then there was Loren.

Oddly, this is fitting.

Believe me when I say that this guy gets beat around a ton, and then some. He's not harmed by people necessarily, but instead by shocking occurrences which serve to pummel him somewhat into asphalt. Lo has an addiction too; he's an alcoholic and between himself and Lily they have everyone fooled into thinking they're a couple. They are hiding their addictions with this big lie and up until a quarter or so into the book, it's just routine faking their relationship while indulging in forbidden pleasures. They have a system and everything works because Lo and Lily have been friends forever. As can be expected, the addictions get in the way of them having normal social interactions and they are isolated, so much so they are the other's best and only friend.

You would think that because of this connection and past that they would be capable of putting aside their selfish desires in order to get help for the other, but this is not the case and even their affection and concern can't compare to the pull of their fixations.

For all intensive purposes, they fit. Or at least they should, but their respective compulsions get in the way, making their try at a real relationship near pointless. Each cares more about protecting themselves, keeping from being exposed before their families, and sticking still to destructive lifestyles that it is impossible to believe they truly love one another completely. I think they share a love, but the kind shown in Addicted to You is not yet strong enough to withstand the strain of their addictions. They have a lot to get past and work through, and I suppose when you've been doing things the way they have for so long, the road to recovery is indeed a long stretch.

In Conclusion

This book showed how thoroughly an addiction can not only infiltrate, but also destroy lives. The realistic way that it is depicted here leaves no doubt in mind how devastating and far reaching the affects of being an alcoholic or nymphomaniac are. It was never just Loren's issue or Lily's, because Lily's "issue" got in the way of her relationship with everyone around her. She distanced from family and endures such deep self-loathing that anyone with eyes can see she isn't happy. Loren too, his alcohol dependency so interferes in his school life that all semblance of order is stripped away as he fails his way through classes, earning disappointment and disdain from his father and drowning the pain in booze. All in all the effects are far-reaching and I'm glad that the authors made me aware of the struggle, I had no idea how challenging it can be to go through an ordeal like Lily's or Loren's, let alone be the person afflicted.

Addicted to You gave me an intense glimpse into the mind of complex, tortured characters that simply grew on me and stuck to the end. I'm a fan of these writers because of their execution in this novel as well as mature handling of very sensitive and real ordeals. You will like Addicted to You because it has purpose and will make you cry as you smile your way through to a satisfying ending, I did.

4.5/5 genies: The Ritchie girls are phenomenal; I could not be any more satisfied with this book. It goes to dark places and still manages to end with an emotional punch that literally strikes my heart in two. This book is fantastic, and a new favourite of mine, Addicted to You exceeds!

After all, she has returned to her family and longtime friend, Gale. Yet nothing is the way Katniss wishes it to be. Gale holds her at an icy distance. Peeta has turned his back on her completely. As time draws near for Katniss and Peeta to visit the districts on the Capitol's cruel Victory Tour, the stakes are higher than ever. In Catching Fire, the second novel of the Hunger Games trilogy, Suzanne Collins continues the story of Katniss Everdeen, testing her more than ever before...and surprising readers at every turn.
The Skinny

So worth everything. Collins is the ultimate Gamemaster and Catching Fire is equal part heart and adventure. I love every single one of these characters and I am well invested in them; the Games felt realer than ever for me and I truly applaud everyone forced to participate for all their strong will. I love you Katniss. I love you Peeta. And Collins? I love you too.

Now give me my sequel, woman!

One helluva a read, spectacular in the very most parts, tugging rightly at the heartstrings, this book will warm your heart as it did with mine.

Goodreads Summary

Danger waits on both sides of the grave.
Half-vampire Cat Crawfield and her vampire husband Bones have fought for their lives, as well as for their relationship. But just when they've triumphed over the latest battle, Cat's new and unexpected abilities threaten to upset a long-standing balance . . .

With the mysterious disappearance of vampires, rumors abound that a species war is brewing. A zealot is inciting tensions between the vampires and ghouls, and if these two powerful groups clash, innocent mortals could become collateral damage. Now Cat and Bones are forced to seek help from a dangerous "ally"; the ghoul queen of New Orleans herself. But the price of her assistance may prove more treacherous than even the threat of a supernatural war . . . to say nothing of the repercussions Cat never imagined.

My Thoughts

What to say about 'This Side of the Grave'? Maybe I should start off with the simple statement: 'It didn't suck'. It was good, really good actually and I was going to give this a 4 until near-the end when Bones's interaction with a poltergeist had me laughing so hard I was sure my parents would pick up the phone and dial the mental asylum, RIGHT. THEN.

Lol, good times though! Worth spending time in a straight jacket against padded walls, that's for sure. Okay maybe not, but I considered it.

First off, I really love the covers of this series, they are so unique and edgy there isn't much else of an option BUT to pick one up. The title also rocks, and props to Frost for always incorporating the word 'Grave' in there, Big Ups! It's distinct to the series and I appreciate that. Personally though I found this the heaviest,(content-wise), and was crippled at parts like say, the death of a very important character. THAT had me in tears, so not pretty. It was incredibly painful to read through, and yet Frost just kept tempting and edging me forward until it was all read and I was feeling lower than dirt...Until I kept reading on and saw the end that made it truly worth while! Fabulous ending and gloriously written, a little bit of a cliff-hanger, but I am hanging on until August for the next one!

So now that you know of my definitive plans to catch the next book, let me plunge into the remainder of my review for this one. Why I felt it weird at parts was because they were character couples that I wasn't familiar and sharply bombarded with,(here is where I suggest you pick up the 'Night Huntress World' novels before reading this because you will be more familiar with the pairings of Kira and Mencheres as well as Spade and Denise that way.) Not to mention Denise's shape-shifting! That was a shocker, I was expecting that almost as much as the realization that my Main-Man Mencheres was nuzzling and grinding against some chick I did not know.

I didn't hate Kira, I just did not know her. It was like popping a helium balloon without informing anyone. One minute it's nice and serene and then the next? Boom! Where did that blast come from and WHY do you not have hair anymore? See, shocking. I raised an brow when she got all snarky about Cat pushing Mencheres to do better in his attempts to read the future because I love Cat, and I will not have some woman sass her. No. Way.

But I'd heard of her, I have the 'Eternal Kiss' in my to-read category so I know their story, I just wish someone would have pointed out the order in which to read them; then maybe I wouldn't have wanted to flog Kira. Possibly.

Next was Denise: I love Denise to death because of her alcoholic ways - so much like Cat - but again all of a sudden I see spouses formed out of the blue and then them being territorial. What is this, a snarling party? Bring your own 'tude and sass? Not cool. Spade has always been my gentleman and then to see him suddenly glare Cat down because she asked her best friend a favor for the good of their race as well as the ghouls? Not the guy I knew, that's for sure. What happened to the understanding Baron, did he die somewhere along the way from the previous book to here?

Not to mention Marie! While I'm reeling from weird character turns there goes Marie making me hate her for a good 10 chapters!

I was furious, thinking what was going on?! The only people that seemed constant were Vlad, Bones and Ian...Until the end. Thank God it worked out well in the end! Apollyon got what was coming to him and I officially want Ian and Veritas as a couple! They are my secret desire. Another desire is of course Tate and Cat. I know, what about Bones, right? Well if Bones were to die I'd want 'Cate' to happen (see the merging there!?) He loves her with this burning intensity that makes me weak, I love that! So God forbid Bones were to pass, Tate would be the man for the job. There, cast the first stone if you have never CONSIDERED the pair and I'll listen, but if not join the club!

I enjoyed the mystery of trying to defeat Apollyon, that was prime, man! The combover went down....Haha I am a little pleased okay, bite me! But you know what's better yet? Reading this novel. It is awesome and I urge you not to jump to conclusions like I did. Catch the 'Night Huntress World' books before this one though, it'll make a butt load more of sense regarding the supporting characters. Note: there are scenes of intercourse so watch out for that if you happen to be younger.

I rate this read 4.5 genies because I can't resist a good Exorcist threat when it comes along! Immature I know, and I love it.

One helluva a read, spectacular in the very most parts, tugging rightly at the heartstrings, this book will warm your heart as it did with mine.

Goodreads Summary

Having completed his sentence for the unintentional crime that derailed his youthful plans for fame and fortune, Levi Grant looks to start over in the town of Spencer, Texas. Spencer needs a blacksmith, a trade he learned at his father's knee, and he needs a place where no one knows his past. But small towns leave little room for secrets...
Eden Spencer has sworn off men, choosing instead to devote her time to the lending library she runs. When a mountain-sized stranger walks through her door and asks to borrow a book, she steels herself against the attraction he provokes. His halting speech and hesitant manner leave her doubting his intelligence. Yet as the mysteries of the town's new blacksmith unfold, Eden discovers hidden depths in him that tempt her heart.
Levi's renewed commitment to his faith leads Eden to believe she's finally found a man of honor and integrity, a man worthy of her love. But when the truth about his prodigal past comes to light, can this tarnished hero find a way to win back the librarian's affections?

My Thoughts

Hallelujah!

Ha, really this book was phenomenal! I was not expecting it to be this good, don't ask me why but I just wasn't. I finished reading 'That Certain Spark' before this and was feeling more than a little sour towards Christian Fiction, especially anything historical! And yet here comes Witemeyer to plummet completely my bias. Really she outdid herself!

This read took longer for me to finish and not because of the ability of the book to keep me interested. No, It was my fault because 1/3 through the reading process, I cracked. There was just so much stuff going on that I'm not getting into that took precedence over reading. That is why I took a bajillion days to finish!

Alright, So we're clear? Excellent!

See the word I used there? It's a perfect description of this novel, perfectly EXCELLENT. I expected to hate it, and though 'A tailor made Bride' was decent I was tired of being preached at. I'm a Christian but I find that some books just make it one sermon; 'don't do this', and, 'stay away from that,' but never once do they expose you to realistic scenarios in which you will need to make tough choices. No, it's often just one dramatic sludge of fail with flimsy heroines and generic males. This book was not that.

I am in love with Levi, an ex-prize fighter turned Christian blacksmith-hunk. I loved his lisp and how intelligent this man was! He was so vulnerable and troubled that I just wanted to 'FIX HIM'! Lol that is what girls tend to do right, I'm not quite sure. Take this scenario for example:

Man who overheard to Judith: Excuse me, but are you insinuating that you are not in fact a woman, madam?

Judith: What do you think this is?! *scratches armpit* I don’t have to answer that. Pansy, get me a sandwich and talk American!

Man greatly disgruntled: I suppose I shall leave you to your...em...activities, madam.

Judith: *burps* that’s right! Ye heard me. Some people just aren’t educated. :/ *burps again*

*Ahem* So as you see I am not very normal. I come close on occasion but that is all, and yet you don't have to be mildly insane to appreciate any part of this book or its fabulous characters! It just ROCKS. I enjoyed the heroine - Eden, a kindhearted librarian, as well and found her to be something rarely seen in fiction these days: lovely. She was so very delightful and cute I adored her! That is why I forgive her for taking Levi, because they deserve each other.

The emotions were so authentic I forgot I was reading at points and just lost myself in this book. It kept me turning pages - especially at the end - and no character was unwarranted. They all served purposes... finally! I was so sick of background sheep-people that just chewed grass and made irrelevant sound, that is what characters with no real point mean to me and I was tired of them. This book held meaning because every single character had a story; not one that could be duplicated, but a tale really unique.

Witemeyer did her research and it payed off - GREATLY. In my opinion, Bethany House should do the smart thing and sign her up for more contracts, she is a gem and officially up there next to Kingsbury and Gist in terms of stellar Christian fiction authors. I want so much more from her! Pick this book up and give it a good read, I'm thinking it would be worth every penny.

5 genies: WOWZA. Yes, this is that book, the book you've been looking for!
You need this novel in your life, take it from me.

Goodreads Summary

From the author of the popular Weather Warden series comes the debut of an exciting new series set in Morganville, Texas, where you would be well advised to avoid being out after dark.

College freshman Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmarish dorm situation. When Claire heads off-campus, the imposing old house where she finds a room may not be much better. Her new roommates don't show many signs of life, but they'll have Claire's back when the town's deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood.

My Thoughts

Ok, well that was... INCREDIBLE.

I don't think I expected much from this book going in, (I still don't know why, maybe because the whole idea of the Vampire thing done by anyone not Jeaniene Frost seemed pretty impossible), and honestly I just read it because of the high rating it has going on Goodreads. Well, it's safe to say "Glass Houses" kinda deserves the 5 genies!! And higher. Also I was dead wrong, Rachel Caine can write! It wasn't predictable, but some events were easy to foresight and even though you could see some decisions from the characters totally play out a little before they did - it was still spanking amazing!

Believe me I'm still trying to organize my thoughts because they literally feel scrambled. So where to begin? The Setting: was golden, like crazy original and totally terrifying. I was scared, scared that a place like that existed - even in fiction - it was a nightmare! Crazy (there is really no other word for them) bitches, psycho Vamps, and literally no order. I fainted more than once. No one looks out for each other really and they all care about protecting themselves from the Vampires that rule Morganville; the Vampires think the humans are basically game (like actual cattle) and never hesitate to puncture a jugular, like never.

Oh. You. Have. To. Be. Kidding. Me. That was my recurring thought throughout "Glass Houses". What happened to human rights?!? Not in Morganville, no one cares. Except for the people in the Glass House who've grown up there, and Claire - a total cutie/brainiac - who happens to attend the College. She cares because the head psycho bitch wants to kill her.

Like really kill her. All because she thinks Claire made her look stupid (and that in itself is not a hard thing to do.) This girl was on something, I'm sure, she was so twisted that her imbalanced state of mind shook me. Character-wise in craziness she reminded me a lot of Azula from Avatar the Last Airbender.

Mind you, I never thought that I'd be saying this about anyone, but Monica was all kinds of psycho which Azula never could be. I thought she would give up on Claire, but she never did. It was a crazy obsession and I know she needs a jacket and padded room. Rich people should be able to afford that, right? Why are they letting someone as messed as Monica run loose then, it makes no sense. I don't care who her father is. Second in line for the crazy award is her feral dog, Scruffy Gina. Hm...has a nice ring to it! The girl just needed to be told and she went looking for blood, like a hellhound from Pittsburgh, she was so irrational. I can see why she and Monica are friends, really.

Other notable Characters: are of course Claire, Michael, Eve, Shane (swoon), and Oliver. I didn't think much of Amelie since she wasn't really there for most of the book and showed up 3/4 of the way through. She thought she was a big deal, I didn't. These characters were so awesome, and way normal than crazy Monica & Crew, I could practically see them. They were solid and hilarious, my throat went dry from laughing so hard at some parts. It was awesome.

Claire: Was smart, like really smart and completely lovable. I picture her in my mind and it is instant cuteness; still can't make out whether she had blonde or dark hair (wasn't really specified) but she was as cute as a button. Really Eve, I don't know why we say that, but in this case it applies in every sense of the word.

The friendship between all three of them was made even more believable because of their willingness to do everything to save her. I would save her too, she's just that kind of person; feisty and stubborn, the best kind.

Michael: Had this whole guardian angel thing going that I completely digged, very hot. I bawled when I found out what happened to him! Man it sucked, so much so that thinking of it pulls my spirits down a little still. I want him to be human again in the books to come! But I can only hope.

Eve: So sweet, her personality was catching - easy-going and confident - not to mention the way she handled Claire was extremely caring. Her actions brought to mind the image of an older sister which Claire didn't have, but totally deserved to find in Eve. Kudos to her for being that!

Shane: This name automatically makes me think, surfer, and then I imagine a guy (no offense to surfer-dudes out there) that isn't too bright. Can't help it, it just happens. Like when people hear the name Spongebob they think instantly: possibly-gay-yellow sponge-creeper. No? Well I do, but I love Spongebob, I watch him as much as I can and the same goes with Shane, only I'm wishing I could watch him every day! Oh man, he was very chill, very brave, and very fine. Excuse me while I swoon again.

I liked how far he was willing to go in order to protect Claire, he had this Romantic's heart pounding.

I won't get into Oliver because I don't know where to start with him, also I'm afraid of ruining it for anyone else. He was a surprise and not in a good way.

The Plot: moved easily and nothing felt rushed at all. It was like a very enjoyable stroll and the events that occurred were timed to perfection -- Way to go, Caine! I truly enjoyed myself with this book so you'll get why I recommend it to everyone reading this review, go find yourself a copy!

The writing is very consistent with the whole, I'm in college-I'm still a teenager-but I live in a town full of crazies, theme. It all works together perfectly and it's a ball to read. H.M. (honorable mention): goes to Shane (like you couldn't guess), also Claire, because I like a heroine with smarts, and Richard (Monica's older brother) because anyone who calls out a crazy like that is okay with me. Five genies, Baby:

WOWZA. Yes, this is that book, the book you've been looking for!
You need this novel in your life, take it from me.

Boredom

Luckily Light's father is the head of the Japanese National Police Agency and leaves vital information about the case lying around the house. With access to his father's files, Light can keep one step ahead of the authorities. But who is the strange man following him, and how can Light guard against enemies whose names he doesn't know?

My Thoughts

So I am a lot addicted to this series and already on volume six I think!

It is so wonderful and yet crazy that I would read something like this at all - not because there is anything wrong with the book - but it just isn't my usual. My usual being heart-pumping romance or adventurous comedy; note now: Death Note: Boredom, Vol. 1 is severely twisted and does not fit either category. And yet I am beginning to believe that is a good thing!

I adore this series, it is flipping FANTASTIC! This is the first manga in a while to actually engage my mind and push me to think further; Needless to say, I have become so wrapped up in this peculiar universe. Kira is the villain I love to hate and his Shinigami just sends shivers down my spine, but I can't stop reading! I am addicted too far to stop and I urge everyone to pick a copy of this up, it is so un-stereotypical and unique...I know you will be as blown away as I am!

Goodreads Summary

You can run from the grave, but you can’t hide…
Half-vampire Cat Crawfield is now Special Agent Cat Crawfield, working for the government to rid the world of the rogue undead. She’s still using everything Bones, her sexy and dangerous ex, taught her, but when Cat is targeted for assassination, the only man who can help her is the vampire she left behind.
Being around Bones awakens all her emotions, from the adrenaline rush of slaying vamps side by side to the reckless passion that consumed them. But a price on her head – wanted: dead or half-alive – means her survival depends on teaming up with Bones. And no matter how hard Cat tries to keep things professional between them, she’ll find that desire lasts forever … and Bones won’t let her get away again. Original.

My Thoughts

This review comes late and that is simply due to the fact that my computer's mouse has indefinitely gone rogue. We cannot find it and I know that waiting any longer would simply prolong my views on this work. And what a piece of work it is! Ah, this book was so refreshing I cannot begin anywhere else but at the very beginning. And why not?Maria certainly thought that was a very good place to start.

Alright so my terrible 'Sound of Music' pun aside, I want to dive in by saying I was sceptic as to just how 'good' this book could be. I mean let me be frank: most 2nd books in a series tend to suck, period. It scares me, really it does, because I intend to have MANY 2nd books in the years to come; and yet everyone else who ventures towards writing a sequel comes up with a lacklustre piece of work. Maybe because working with characters you've used before is...tricky? I don't know! All I know is that I want to avoid that road as much as I'd like the bubonic plague.

Frost did. She made me love Bones again and again. To the point that I was almost wishing for a piece of silver to take Cat down with, but I loved her too much. I love it when an author does that, makes me feel like a giant hypocrite but it keeps me coming back. Maybe I like being told what's-what?

Naw, that isn't it! I just really love Bones, and really like Cat.

These two just keep getting better! They are such thick characters that I can imagine them without even trying, I can feel their pain and joys. They are People-Characters. I loved the plot and give it a smashing 5/5, it was excellent! Also, I thought I would never say this, but I love Cat's mom. Seriously her banter with Bones had my side splitting, it was perfect! I was like 'Bwahahaha ahaahahahaha haaaa!!' all the way through. Yes, I did look insane, thank you for asking!

But back to 'One foot in the Grave'. What else can I say but that it all kind of rightly flowed? Because that was what it did, I didn't feel lost at all and like I'd followed exactly where 'Halfway to the Grave' left off. It was incredible, just the thing I needed and I'm glad I listened to some crazy friends on here who insisted it would be 'worth it'.

Hey guys? It was. Excellent story and compelling characters demand a perfect 5! Way to go Frost, you up and broke the curse.

Goodreads Summary

Hopes for a perfect Paris holiday are dashed when half-vampire Cat Crawfield begins having visions of a vampire named Gregor who's more powerful than Cat's undead lover, Bones, and has ties to her past that even Cat herself doesn't know about. Original.

My Thoughts

Okay so here I go to FINALLY get around to writing up a review for this! I think because it's been so long this review will be brief, I'll rate Characters and plot and point out the strong as well as weak parts to this read. So without further adieu, here goes:

Plot: I really adore the way this author is so capable at making the reader forget. Really, when I read any of her books it makes me leave my world for a little to be with Cat and Bones and I am so grateful for that! This book in the 'Night Huntress' series follows Cat and Bones as they face a new terror: Gregor, Cat's first husband!

Characters: Cat and Bones are as entrancing as ever, they never will get dull, that is one thing I am certain of. The characters are always so fresh and something interesting is always happening! I cried for some of them. Tate was also fantastic. It is so weird because I feel for him, I really do, but the sole thought of Cat and Bones apart is not a pleasant one. My dreams for 'Cate' aside, I don't want to see Cat or Bones separated.

Which is precisely why I hated Gregor! Man he took possessiveness to a whole other level.[when he was hitting Cat after he found out that she slept with Bones? Just sickening, my stomach was in knots. I was glad when he died. (hide spoiler)]

Vlad did not disappoint and I'm so ecstatic that my Dark Prince gets his own series!!! I cannot wait. He is such a well-rounded character, and in this book Frost did good by him.

Setting: It was great. I especially loved the New Orleans setting, the Big Easy was perfectly depicted. Plus, all those ghosts made for such a hauntingly pleasing atmosphere.

H.M. (honorable mention): This title goes to Marie - the ghoul Queen and my hero! Man she's got a twisted sense of humor, and I like it. She will always be alright with me and she only helped the book, which is a lot more than I can say for other characters in other novels. I do not understand the point of planting a character only to have them contribute absolutely nothing. That is what frustrates me and I am glad it did not happen here.

P.A. (problem areas): I didn't like the pace of this book as much as the others. It was fast-paced as always but still it dragged a little on certain parts, and being one not always high on patience, I despised the wait leading to the resolution between Cat and Gregor! Still this series is the bomb and is it any wonder I plan on reading everything by this author?

There are erotic scenes and crass language, so mind that if you are younger. If not, grab a copy!

Goodreads Summary

Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, hoping that one of these deadbeats is her father—the one responsible for ruining her mother’s life. Then she’s captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unholy partnership.

In exchange for finding her father, Cat agrees to train with the sexy night stalker until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs. She’s amazed she doesn’t end up as his dinner—are there actually good vampires? Pretty soon Bones will have her convinced that being half-dead doesn’t have to be all bad. But before she can enjoy her newfound status as kick-ass demon hunter, Cat and Bones are pursued by a group of killers. Now Cat will have to choose a side... and Bones is turning out to be as tempting as any man with a heartbeat.

My Thoughts

This book had sex. It seems like a weird thing to say, but more importantly this book WAS sexy. I enjoyed it, and though hardly naive I hadn't been expecting sex per se. Still it was a ride from start to finish and I really want to start this review by digging in...

One thing I can say about Ms. Frost is that she is a writer after my own heart. Her prose is thoughtful without being drab and hard-thought, she knows well how to make a story flow. I didn't feel like I might have had someone else tried to tell this story, because only Frost could make it really something stellar. No it was reflective and fun, like you're reading a recap from your best friend. Yeah, I met a smoldering hot vampire, what of it?! Not...

'OMFG. I MET A VAMPIRE. I WANT TO HAVE HIS UNDEAD OFFSPRING! WHAT, IT HAS ONLY BEEN A MINUTE SINCE? YAY, THIS WILL LAST FOREVER!'

NO!

Cat was so cautious about the decisions she made, I loved it. I adore a heroine that enjoys to think. She weighed everything out and didn't go running after Bones like some lovelorn Mary Sue. I loved her. But certainly not more than I love Bones, If I ever wanted an undead Boyfriend, he would be it. Really I have prejudice's against British men because rarely have I seen one HOT. There's Prince Harry but other than him all I see are stuck-up men with pale skin and a quickly balding Prince to rule them. Sorry William! Needless to say, I did not watch the royal wedding. Not only did I forget when it was, but I believe people tend to marry every day and to glorify one figurehead for getting hitched is a concept foreign to me.

Nothing against William or Kate, I am just thoroughly waned by the stickers and post stamps and collectible engagement rings EVERYWHERE. Really people, REALLY?! Anyway, Bones definitely changed that for me. He was smooth and dangerous and I wanted him sorely, that is why I am determined to read all the books in this series and anything else by Frost, because just like Cat I love a vampire named Bones.

I liked this book more than I thought I would and loved how real everything felt. It was gory and heart-tugging and totally took over my life for what...2 days? Sounds about right!

What drew me to this novel was the fabulous blurb at the back and the believable characters, the reviews for it were high and I decided to check it out! As you can expect, I'm glad I did and I'm waiting for my library to send me the 2nd book.

Again there is profanity and sensuality, so keep that in mind, but I give 'Halfway to the Grave' 5 giant blood-pouches. Sink your teeth into that, folks.

Goodreads Summary

The night is not safe for mortals. Denise MacGregor knows all too well what lurks in the shadows - her best friend is half-vampire Cat Crawfield - and she has already lost more than the average human could bear. But her family's dark past is wrapped in secrets and shrouded in darkness - and a demon shapeshifter has marked Denise as prey. Now her survival depends on an immortal who craves a taste of her.

He is Spade, a powerful, mysterious vampire who has walked the earth for centuries and is now duty-bound to protect this endangered, alluring human - even if it means destroying his own kind. Denise may arouse his deepest hungers, but Spade knows he must fight his urge to have her as they face the demon nightmare together...

Because once the first drop of crimson falls, they will both be lost.

My Thoughts

It has been a few days since I finished reading this and thought to write the review, finally. I enjoyed it, the book was very crisp and the characters very likable, plus I finally got where Spade's crazy protectiveness comes from! I see why he was miffed at Cat for calling Denise to shape shift in book #5, because who wouldn't worry - what, with what happened to Giselda as a forever example of all that could go wrong? yikes!

Denise was lovely, really I haven't admired a heroine (except for Cat) like I did Denise! She was truly admirable and loved her family so much to the point that she was willing to sacrifice everything for their happiness; even in the face of Raum she was brave! So Denise officially has my devotion, and big ups to Frost for making me love my Spade even more again. It was a close one, but I almost disliked Spade! *gasp*

But I have learnt my lesson! Off I go to the grading.

Plot: I have come to expect gorgeous and excellent plots from this author. She has such a way with words, and her ideas string perfectly! Let it never be said that Frost is predictable, because even with the things that may hint as simple, they are never quite just that. I relished the adventure of them trying to free her from the bands, but the action was very real and I liked that.

Spade and Denise really where made for each other and I am thrilled to give this plot full marks on how they came together.

Characters: The characters have got to be my favorite aspect to this writer's work; they are always so round and concrete. I knew what I was reading because the author knew what she was about. She made the parts of Denise, Spade and even Ian consistent! I also enjoyed Nathaniel and thought him adorable for the most part, he was a great addition to the story!

Denise was this firecracker and though I have always loved her, I went gaga almost for how controlled she was, girl has tolerance. She's this frugal spender whereas Spade just loves to roll those dollar bills! Their combination was stellar.

Setting: Because I did not pay great attention to the settings does not mean that they sucked, simply that there were other things occupying my mind...

Like Spade...

And Bones...

And Ian...

Still, when I think of the descriptions I remember them being to the point and clear. I can fault nothing.

H.M(honorable mention): Has got to go to Ian! I think the thing I appreciate most about this character is his tenderness and true care for his friends, they are like his family and while his actions might sometimes say differently, he does love them. That had me all warm and fuzzy inside and I love him regardless of that unfortunate decision. [his penis piercing. We all make mistakes! (hide spoiler)]

P.A(problem areas): Would have to be the resolution of the bands. I cannot give too much away but I wished something different for Denise and her bands. But other than that? I'm all good!

And is there any wonder this book is a 5/5? I think not! Watch out for erotic scenes and language if you are younger, but if not grab a copy. I really do love this book!

Goodreads Summary

Cheerleader Isobel Lanley is horrified when she is paired with Varen Nethers for an English project, which is due—so unfair—on the day of the rival game. Cold and aloof, sardonic and sharp-tongued, Varen makes it clear he’d rather not have anything to do with her either. But when Isobel discovers strange writing in his journal, she can’t help but give this enigmatic boy with the piercing eyes another look.

Soon, Isobel finds herself making excuses to be with Varen. Steadily pulled away from her friends and her possessive boyfriend, Isobel ventures deeper and deeper into the dream world Varen has created through the pages of his notebook, a realm where the terrifying stories of Edgar Allan Poe come to life.

As her world begins to unravel around her, Isobel discovers that dreams, like words, hold more power than she ever imagined, and that the most frightening realities are those of the mind. Now she must find a way to reach Varen before he is consumed by the shadows of his own nightmares.

His life depends on it.

My Thoughts

Um can you say Perfect? Believe me when I say I am in love - with Kelly and VAREN. He is officially my new fictional boyfriend/biggest crush of the year. I thought the days until 'Beautiful Chaos's' release would never come soon enough, but for the day and a half it took me to read it, Nevermore became my everything.

Go ahead and say I'm obsessive, you'd be 100% perfect right. I am, because this book is gold-perfect and Ms. Creagh has a gift. With that said I hold the giddiness still to continue writing somewhat-sensibly. On to business:

At the start of this book I didn't believe it was possible for me to favor a cheerleader protagonist, basically because they're usually self-conceited or obsessed with their hair/make-up/perfect life, and almost ALWAYS go for the Beef-Head jock. I picked up Nevermore because of the summary and way before I read any reviews on the book. I loved the idea and cover, but I wasn't really expecting a whole lot since it has been a while since I've read something truly and wholly GOOD. BIG SURPRISE. Isobel was a treat.

She was utterly delightful in every way that counted. She is a refreshingly intelligent character who is easily likable and very cute, and most of all she took no shiz from her creepy-possessive boyfriend or unreasonably catty friends who all had severe cases of extensive Bi-polar disorder. Seriously I found them close and bubbly one chapter, and the next, complete jerks! In this situation I could see so many other female protagonists bending and conforming to the New Order.

'How is it possible to go one without my crew?' female protagonist would ask. 'I need an effing table and ATTENTION.'

Lol so maybe not exactly like that but you get what I mean. Bottom line, Isobel stood up for the guy she liked. She had a backbone and I found myself rooting for her all the way!

She deserved a happy ending. One WITH Varen, but I'll get to that later.

I felt the characters were well-fleshed out and chillingly realistic, I loved that I could relate with them without having to sit on my chair for hours trying to piece them together in my mind. They came quickly and the affection I have for them is one firmly rooted. Everything was right for me. Did I have a few qualms with her father and his bro-crush on her ex-boyfriend? Yes. But by the end I almost forgot about his unfair-judgement of Varen, he was goofy and a Parent.

I find that very important to add because the amount of uninvolved parents in YA fiction is highly disheartening. Who cares if she's running off chasing some vampire, or better yet involved with a totally abusive fallen angel?

Nah. She'll be fine, and if worst comes to worse? Let her run fast, that windpipe has to do some good right? I'll just disappear every 250 pages or so, and come back at the end when social services calls. Yes officer, I'm always home. NO, Nevermore had none of that, the parents were real. Her brother was adorable and oh so sweet! He reminded me of my own, cute little chipmunk. He loved his sister, and who wouldn't? She was brave and had a will of her own. When I'm not rooting for Team Varen I'm donning a bright pink tank for Isobel. Hear me world, I want more characters like this!

But enough of the gushing, I want to get down to Varen; aka Mr. Hot stuff - Smexy Eyes - McJaggatron. Yes, him. *Sigh*. He was deep and intriguing and everything I needed him to be, believe me when I attest to having felt my heart jump at the mere mention of him. Maybe I'm clinically insane but I like my fictional men 3 dimensional, I like depth and I love it when an author appreciates my intelligence. She created a sensitive male with a brain, a male APPEALING and who LISTENS to the girl he's with. Varen was all that and so much more. He made me feel for him on numerous accounts and he made me want to jump into the book and take him for myself.

Buh-bye Queen of Sheba, Isobel I'm sorry to do this to you, but he's mine. You'll find someone better...Reynolds? But despite my desire to claim him I found my attempts stilted. It appears that sadly technology hasn't evolved to that level. *Frowns*. Why can't Science do what I want. Ever? I had to gaze at my unofficial boyfriend from afar but Kelly appeased me by making it bearable, what isn't is the wait until the next book! The six months are going to be Torture. Period. I'm a bad waiter, I'm not designed to WAIT. Please book nymphs, Move the date closer. I believe in you, happy now?

Sadly I do not believe that'll do the trick, but hey I tried. I just wish the cliffhanger wasn't so HUGE. I don't want to give much away, but holy smokies that was massive! My heart wrenched and I just fell to the ground in turmoil. FML, there is absolutely no way the world can end in 2012 now because I will finish this series. Everyone will just have to live with it. Get it? Because if the world ended we would die?!

Haha...So I tried okay! Lol, so I'm ending with a final note of fantastic. This book was flipping fantastic. Read it and Buy it. It was surely worth my money!
