Teaser Tuesday (1)

MizB at Should Be Reading hosts "Teaser Tuesday" and she lets anyone participate. If you're interested in playing along, just: 

(1) Grab your current read
(2) Open to any page at random
(3) Skim the page and find 2 "teaser" sentences to share
(4) Watch out for spoilers and try not to give anything away 
(5) Link the book's title and author for others who haven't heard of the novel before, they can now add it to their TBR or reading lists! 

This week, my teaser is from a current read, Angel Burn by L.A. Weatherly
