Waiting on Wednesday (2)

*Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill@Breaking the Spine and is a weekly meme allowing for bloggers to connect and share their most anticipated reads.*

Hey Literates!

Ha, how are you all? On this occasion I would like to share a few books that have been on my waiting list recently and that have me looking a bit like a maniac :) I hope you like them too, Summaries were taken from Goodreads and images likewise. Those books are:
     Release Date: October 2, 2012
     Publisher: Simon Pulse
     Genre: YA, Contemporary, Romance, Fiction

Goodreads Summary

Sometimes hiding the truth requires more than a lie . . .
From the outside, Coley Sterling’s life seems pretty normal . . . whatever that means. It’s not perfect—her best friend is seriously mad at her and her dance team captains keep giving her a hard time—but Coley’s adorable, sweet crush Reece helps distract her from the annoying drama. Plus, she has a great family to fall back on—with a stepdad and mom who would stop at nothing to keep her and her siblings happy and safe.

But Coley has a lot of secrets. She won’t admit—not even to herself—that her almost-perfect life is her own carefully-crafted façade. That for years she’s been burying the shame and guilt over a relationship that crossed the line. Now, Coley and Reece are getting closer, and as Coley has the chance at her first real boyfriend, a decade’s worth of lies are on the verge of unraveling.

Mindi Scott offers an absorbing, layered glimpse into the life of an everygirl living a nightmare that no one would suspect in this unforgettable powerhouse of a novel.
My Thoughts: This book looks gripping and heavily emotional, a lot of expectation is riding on this and I love the premise because of all the heart this book promises.

2.) Send Me a Sign by Tiffany Schmidt
     Release Date: October 2, 2012
     Publisher: Walker Childrens
     Genre: YA, Contemporary, Romance

Goodreads Summary

Mia is always looking for signs. A sign that she should get serious with her soccer-captain boyfriend. A sign that she’ll get the grades to make it into an Ivy-league school. One sign she  didn’t expect to look for was: “Will I survive cancer?” It’s a question her friends would never understand, prompting Mia to keep her illness a secret. The only one who knows is her lifelong best friend, Gyver, who is poised to be so much more. Mia is determined to survive, but when you have so much going your way, there is so much more to lose. From debut author Tiffany Schmidt comes a heart-wrenching and ultimately uplifting story of one girl’s search for signs of life in the face of death.

My Thoughts: This feels like a book with a lot of heart and I'm dying to read more about Mia and her situation. Do-want!

3.) What Happens Next by Colleen Clayton
     Release Date: October 9, 2012
Publisher: Poppy (Little Brown Books for Young Readers)
     Genre: YA, Contemporary, Romance

Goodreads Summary
How can you talk about something you can’t remember?

Before the ski trip, sixteen-year-old Cassidy “Sid” Murphy was a cheerleader (at the bottom of the pyramid, but still...), a straight-A student, and a member of a solid trio of best friends. When she ends up on a ski lift next to handsome local college boy, Dax Windsor, she’s thrilled; but Dax takes everything from Sid—including a lock of her perfect red curls—and she can’t remember any of it.

Back home and unable to relate to her old friends, Sid drops her college prep classes and takes up residence in the A/V room with only Corey “The Living Stoner” Livingston for company. But as she gets to know Corey (slacker, baker, total dreamboat), Sid finds someone who truly makes her happy. Now, if she can just shake the nightmares and those few extra pounds, everything will be perfect... or so she thinks.

witty and poignant, Colleen Clayton’s stunning debut is a story about moving on after the unthinkable happens.
My Thoughts: I have a feeling that this one is going to surprise me, I don't know why, but it occurs to me that this book may hold than meets the eye :) Plus, I love the ski-resort backdrop!

4.) Unchained by J. Lynn
     Release Date: October 16, 2012
     Publisher: Entangled Select
Genre: Paranormal, YA, Mature, Romance, Urban Fantasy

Goodreads Summary
Between the pissed off creatures that want demon-hunter Lily Marks dead and the fallen angel who just...wants her, Lily is about ready to trade in forever for a comfy job in a cubicle farm.
The fact that she and Julian are civil to one another is enough to have her thrown out of the Sanctuary, but she can't shake her not-so-angelic stalker or how he brings her dangerously close to ecstasy.
Her forbidden relationship with Julian provides the perfect fuel for suspicion when a traitor is discovered to be working within the Sanctuary. Lily quickly finds herself hunted by well, everyone.
Her only hope is to discover the real traitor before she loses everything--and she'll need Julian's help. That is, if Julian is really there to help her...and not destroy her.
Yeah, being a Nephilim isn't everything it's cracked up to be.

My Thoughts: The blurb and cover both promise a pretty kick-ass heroine and I'm hoping she's everything and more than what I expect.

And I think that's a wrap! Most of these are set to release in October, but I'm still super psyched for them. What are you waiting on?
